Taraji P. Henson has done an incredible deed. The ‘Hidden Figures’ actress, recently announced that she’s created a foundation, honoring her late father who struggled with mental health issues. Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation, will work to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health in the black community, provide scholarships to African-American students majoring in mental health and offer mental health services to youth in urban schools.
“I named the organization after my father because of his complete and unconditional love for me; his unabashed, unashamed ability to tell the truth, even if it hurt; and his strength to push through his own battles with mental health issues,” Henson said according to People.
