On Tuesday, Vice President, Mike Pence visited Philadelphia and tons of residents gathered at Rittenhouse Square to protest the thousands of children who have been separated from their families at US borders. Brian Sims, Pennsylvania’s first openly gay state legislature, was among the many trying to send the VP a message. Sims posted a picture of himself on Twitter giving Pence the middle finger, essentially telling him to do what he came to do and then, to leave. Of course, his tweet got some backlash, but Sims, who has been extremely vocal on social media, fired back with no hesitation. Check out his tweets below:

Wait, you were able to explain in less than one day why locking children in concentration camps is OK. Grabbing women by the pussies is OK. Making fun of the disabled is OK. Colluding with our national enemies is OK. But you got hung up on a middle finger?!? #SoVirtuous https://t.co/rRV9hGHK4A
