Mo’Nique secretly recorded and leaked a conversation she had with Tyler Perry, in which Tyler says Mo’Nique’s ‘hard to work with’ reputation she’s now known for is unfair and that she should have been compensated to promote ‘Precious’ overseas.  At one point in the conversation, Mo’Nique gets a little heated and says she’d rather speak to Madea than Tyler, because Madea keeps it real.

“You’re talking in Tyler Perry language. I would ask you to let Mo’Nique talk to Madea, because when you start talking in Tyler Perry language, brother, you talk like you don’t get it. [Tyler laughs] Right, n—a, you gotta laugh at it, cause, let me tell you, Tyler, when I watch your movies, I dig Madea, you know why I dig her? You know why I dig her, Tyler?” Mo’Nique said.

Tyler claimed he does not want to be the reason for Mo’Nique’s anguish and that he’s going to figure out how to compensate her for money she may have not received from ‘Precious’. “This is Tyler Perry talking. I’m gonna call and find out what money is coming in from Precious, and I’m going to send that to you. I’m going to send that over to you.  Whatever it is, I’m gonna send it to you.”
