Ivanka Trump broke her silence and finally shared her thoughts on the father’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy which has lead to the separation of thousand of children from their families. Though President Trump has since signed off on an order that allows children to remain with their parents, 1 in 3 children are still have not been reconnected with their parents.

During a conversation Newseum on Thursday, Ivanka expressed that she is against family separation. “That was a low point for me as well,” she said “I felt very strongly about that and I am very vehemently against family separation and the separation of parents and children so I would agree with that sentiment. Immigration is incredibly complex as a topic. Illegal immigration is incredibly complicated.”
