H&M Launches Bra Collection With Breast Cancer Survivors In Mind

H&M has done and amazing thing. The clothing company has launched a collection of bras for women who have undergone a single or double mastectomy. The collection is called ‘Close To My Heart’ and was designed by an H&M employee who struggled to find cute, fashionable, and functional bras after surviving breast cancer. The collection includes a lace bra, a sports bra, and a basic tee bra.

“The bra models have been developed in close collaboration with women who have had breast cancer and removed one of their breasts,” an H&M spokesperson told TODAY Style in an email. “The differences between an ordinary bra and these is that they cover more of the breast and that it has pockets for the prostheses. The pockets are made in a mesh quality for extra support of the prostheses.” (TODAY)

The collections is available now and all of the proceeds go to American Cancer Society.
