Back in 2016, Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton declared May 23 ‘Beyonce Day’ to celebrate Bey’s “Formation” tour. Now that the Carter’s have embarked on the US leg of their ‘On The Run II’ tour, Dayton decided August 8, was officially “Beyonce and Jay-Z Day”, the day the two took on Minneapolis’s U.S. Bank Stadium. Dayton shared the update via Twitter. “Through their lives and music, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have inspired Minnesotans and music fans around the world,” he said. How cool is that?!
In honor of the Carters’ concert tonight at @usbankstadium, Governor Dayton has proclaimed today as “@Beyonce and Jay-Z Day” in Minnesota.
