Looks like Kaepernick and his company, Ink Flash, filed the trademark for a black and white image of his face and his afro. The filing showed up on the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office website on Wednesday.

The filing also says the image could be used in association with “providing classes, workshops, seminars and camps in the field of self empowerment and awareness to properly interact with law enforcement” as well as in association with “production of television shows and films.” (ESPN)

With this filing and Kaep’s recent Nike ad success, he may be ready to cash in and leave the NFL in the dust, for good.
