Former Philadelpha Flyers Goalie Ray Emery Dead At 35

Former Philadelphia Flyers goalie, Ray Emery has died at age 35. The ex-NHL player passed on Sunday morning after a swimming accident in Lake Ontario. According to sources, Emery was swimming with friends and was reported missing around 6am. Authorities found his body about nine hours later. “You always rooted for him to reach his vast potential even as he went through the many ups and downs of his playing career. My deepest condolences to his family and friends for their loss. He will be missed,” the general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs said in a written statement.
